PLURAL BODIES

Plural bodies is a collaborative performance that explores the complexity of gender, sexuality, and identity. The western gender binary system, economy, free choice, and cyber space, all leave, trace, and inform the way we understand and express gender. The evening exposes the complexity and fluidity of sex, gender and desire and how that is being influenced, where it comes from, and how it develops. Through the physicality of dance and body language, the dancers explore the wide range of gender distinctions and sexuality and push their own limitations of their perception of gender.

Dancers: Misuzu Hara, Brendan Drake, Kate Ladenheim, Katie Stehura, Cecilia Lynn-Jacobs, Benjamin Wolk.
